Create an Unforgettable Guest Experience with Live Embroidery

Live embroidery activations for brands, events, retail experiences and corporate functions.

A memorable, hands-on guest experience

There is something special about watching a name or a set of initials appear, stitch by stitch, on a garment you are about to take home. Live embroidery turns simple items and gifts into personalised keepsakes, and it gives your guests an experience they can watch happen in real time. Based in Auckland and available NZ wide, I bring professional embroidery equipment onsite to your event and personalise selected items while your guests look on. It is interactive, tactile and memorable, and your guests leave with something made just for them.

Why add a live embroidery bar to your event?

A live embroidery bar gives your guests something to gather around, take part in and remember.

An interactive guest experience

Guests gather to watch their piece being stitched live, turning a simple giveaway into a moment.

A personalised keepsake

How it works

Step 1: Enquiry and event details

Tell me about your event, your guests and what you would like to offer. The more detail you can share, the more accurate your quote will be.

Step 2: Confirm products, design options and guest numbers

We confirm which items are suitable, the personalisation options, thread colours, fonts and placement, and your expected guest numbers.

Step 3: Sample testing where required

For some items I will ask for a sample beforehand so I can test the embroidery and set up the correct stabilisers, needles and settings. This makes sure everything runs smoothly on the day.

Step 4: Onsite setup and live embroidery

I arrive, set up my equipment and personalise items live while your guests watch and take part.

Step 5: Guests leave with a personalised item

Each guest leaves with their own personalised piece, made while they watched.

What can be embroidered?

Guests can personalise a range of items with monogrammed initials, names or simple designs, including:
  • Garments such as tees, jumpers and jackets
  • Tote bags
  • Caps
  • Robes
  • Towels
  • Baby items
  • Patches
  • Other suitable textiles
Final suitability always depends on the fabric, construction and where the embroidery needs to sit. As part of the planning process I will confirm which of your items will work well, and we can test anything we are unsure about before the event.

Why work with Veronica and Me?

Successful live embroidery is about far more than turning up with a machine. The finish your guests take home depends on the work that happens before the event. I plan each activation carefully, test sample items in advance, and choose the right stabilisers, needles and settings for every fabric and garment. That preparation is what keeps things running smoothly on the day, so the queue keeps moving and every piece comes out beautifully. I have been embroidering professionally for more than 11 years, and most recently ran the live embroidery bar at YouKnow Clothing’s Valentine’s Day in-store event at Sylvia Park, Auckland. I know how to create an experience that feels easy for your guests, from the moment they arrive to the moment they leave with their personalised piece.
Thanks so much for making our embroidery vision come to life! We couldn’t have done it without you.

Planning and capacity

Live embroidery works best when the options are simple and streamlined. Quick-stitch designs such as initials, short names and small motifs keep things moving and let more guests take part. As a guide, one machine can usually personalise items for around 50 to 60 guests over a three hour activation. The exact number depends on the garment, the size of the design, how many options you offer and how long guests like to chat while they wait. For higher volume events, additional machines and operators may be available by arrangement, so we can scale the setup to suit your guest numbers. Confirming garment suitability, embroidery placement, thread colours, fonts and expected guest numbers ahead of time means there are no surprises on the day.

Investment

Every event is different, so each activation is quoted individually based on location, duration, expected guest numbers, garment type, design complexity and equipment required. The quickest way to get an accurate quote is to share your event details through the enquiry form below.

Frequently asked questions

How far in advance should I book?
As early as you can. A few weeks gives us time to confirm your items, order any threads, run sample testing where needed and lock in the date. Busy periods such as Christmas book up quickly, so earlier is always better.
Do you supply the garments or can we provide them?
Either works. Many clients supply their own branded garments or gifts, and I can advise on suitable options if you would prefer to source them. We confirm this during planning so everything is ready on the day.
Can guests choose their font or thread colour?
Yes, within a set of options we agree on beforehand. Offering a curated selection of fonts and thread colours keeps the experience premium and the queue moving.
How many items can be embroidered during an event?
As a guide, one machine can personalise items for around 50 to 60 guests over a three hour activation. This varies with the garment, design size and how much guests like to chat.
Can you provide multiple embroidery machines?
Yes. For larger events additional machines and operators can be arranged, subject to availability. This increases capacity and allows more guests to take part during the activation.
Do you need sample garments before the event?
Sometimes. For certain items I will ask for a sample so I can test the embroidery and set up the right stabilisers, needles and settings. This makes sure the finish is beautiful and consistent on the day.
What areas do you travel to?
I am based in Auckland and available for onsite events by arrangement. Let me know your location in your enquiry and I will confirm the details.
Is live embroidery suitable for every garment?
Not always. Some fabrics, constructions and placements are better suited to embroidery than others. That is why we confirm suitability during planning and test anything we are unsure about beforehand.
